Pooja is a practising counsellor, certified in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy and Humanistic Psychotherapy. She works with both individuals and corporates. She has trained and worked with Max Hospital, Vidyasagar Institute of Mental Health and Santulan EAP. She has also worked with the Organisational Psychology Initiative at Department Of Mental Health and Behavioural Sciences, Fortis Hospital.
She has conducted counselling sessions, employee assistance assignments and workshops in various organisations such as Barclays, Makemytrip, Samsung, Religare and Nestle. She has also been a student counsellor with Acharya Narendra Dev College, Delhi University.
Pooja is a trained Organisational Psychologist with knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods and psychometric assessments. She has worked extensively on how stress can be identified and dealt with more effectively and experiences of women at the workplace.
Pooja began her journey into the world of psychology at a fairly young age with a natural inclination to observing and trying to fathom the nuances of human behaviour. She decided to formalize this interest by undertaking the proper study of psychology. She has an M.Sc.in Organisational Social Psychology from the London School of Economics as well as a Masters in Organisational Behavior from Delhi University. She holds a B.A. Hons in Psychology from Lady Shriram College.
After working in Human Resources for more than a decade with organizations such as Ernst and Young, Bharti Airtel and Kotak, she is now a full-time counsellor and advocate of mental health. She adopts a holistic approach to counselling and firmly believes that counselling is not about rescuing the individual but helping them find their way to the shore. Her aim is to help others become a better version of themselves by manifesting a state of mental fulfilment or serenity faced with experiences that life inevitably throws at all of us.
